you went in 05 and 07 yet you consider last years rain torrential?! :D

weather last year was pretty much perfect i reckon, never too hot during the day, never cold at night and a bit of rain to keep the dust down. I went to Bonnaroo in Tennessee in 07, and believe me the dust that comes with a scorcher is not pleasant!

We had a spot of rain during The Darkness on Friday morning in 2003, and to be honest, I was in so much pain from my epic sunburn and so sick of getting dust in my eyes from the paths by then that I was delighted!

And last year was pretty damn good, really, all things considered!

last year was pretty perfect. It was pretty cold in the wee hours. 2003 was peachy, got mahorly burned that year. It rained a bit on Fri morn/sunday evening, it was incredibly cold in the night on that one. What sticks in my mind about 2003 was the dust was really bad on the tracks and got really on your chest, plus the toilets really really stunk due to the heat!!!

2005 was a scorcher! It may have been a mud bath, but was also a scorcher. The Thursday and Sunday were especially baking hot.

I thought it was freezing last year on the Weds night / Thursday morning , I was struggling to sleep

cos of the cold ( I am usually out in 10 secs , and thats it till lunchtime ) , I thought it was just me ,

till a friend and fellow glasto veteran said how cold it he had found it.

No-one else seems to remember, but it absolutely pissed down for a few hours on Friday morning/ early afternoon in 2003. I remember this well, as some mates turned up late on the Friday morning and we all had to pile into my tent til it calmed down a bit. I also remember because my mates all then proceeded to get stoned and, being practically minded, I ended up erecting everyone else's tent on my own while it was still raining; they'd bought new tents and couldn't figure them out. F**kin' hippies!

The only year Ive been was 1999 and the weather was great, hardly any rain and it was baking on the Saturday and Sunday, i remember Lenny Kravitz wearing a leather waistcoat with thick fur lining round it thinking "f**k me he must be boiling"

Hopefully I'll bring the sun with me again this year LOL

There is - make an offering to Apollo. Anything will do, he's not fussy. I mean, not actual rubbish - but you know, a record or CD you don't play anymore and is mildly embarrassing to you, maybe some bit of tat that time has forgotten. A Billy Bass singing fish, or something. A Sinclar QL disc maybe.

1999 was the last one that I can remember being sunny and hot for the whole of the weekend.

We are due a good sunny and hot Glasto.

Although my husband has just told me it was hot in 1066. :P

Remember Groove Armada playing early afternoon a few years back on the Pyramid - had been shitty weather until then. They started to Superstylin' and the sun suddenly started to comeout for the first time.

Couldn't hear them 'cause of the cheering.

Moment!

Maybe I'm the only one, but I'm not hoping for hot weather. I'm used to going to US festivals in August when the weather is bordering on 100°F everyday, and you have to drink so much water to avoid fainting halfway through the day that alcohol is out of the question. Not to mention the uncomfortable feeling of sweat running down your legs. It's gross. I'll be happy for a chilly festival for a change, I'm much more accustomed to cold weather, I'm from Wisconsin after all, the original frozen tundra.

Yeah, weird tan sandal tan lines are definitely a mark of festival season for me. Last Lollapalooza I wore these swirly gladiator sandals and had the weirdest lines on my feet for months. Thankfully my skin is naturally tan enough that I don't burn, I can imagine "foot burn" would be painful.
