Arrive Wednesday - which carpark?

Hi Guys

Last year we arrived at 11pm on the Thursday night (In torrential rain if you remmeber :D ) and ended up parking a million miles away and a good 20min walk from the nearest gate, let alone the camping spot we chose on dairy fields. I'm afraid last year was our first year so no idea what entrance it was or anything - we just wanted to be in our tent after our epic 6 hour drive and with all our gear weighing us down and rain dripping off our noses!! :D

However we had such an amazing time that this year, we should arrive around 7pm on the Wednesday!! :D:D

We will hopefully be in a better position to have a bit of choice in where we park so want to camp at the dairy fields again but be closer to the car (As I still don't think we'll be able to carry his 3 crates of larger and my 5 boxes of wine in 1 trip!!)

Can anyone suggest which carpark we need and how far you reckon we migh tbe from the car this time- bearing in mind we should beat a few thousand down there this year being a day earlier!!

thanks all

x

Unfortunately you don't get a choice of where you park, whatever time you arrive - you can choose whether to go in on the Red route (west car parks) or the Blue route (east car parks) but I'm afraid you'll have to park where you're told to.

Would definitely advise getting a trolley of some sort for all that beer and wine - my £12.99 B&Q one is a godsend - it holds everything and is worth every penny!

If you're heading for Pennards would you go to the East Car park though?

Also, is it just the same amount of hideousness getting out of the car park whether you park west or east? Only ever parked in West before now and pitched near the Dance Village...not sure why!?!?! Need to mix it up this year!

For Dairy Ground ideally you want Pedestrian Gate D on the West (red) route - it's a hike and a half from the East car parks. But yes, the West car parks can take longer to get out of, and if you can't lug it all in one go you could always bung stuff in a lockup, take the tent, pitch it then go back for the beers or whatever!!
