I am a newbie lol

basically this will be my first big festival same with my mate, we have no clu really wat we are doin apart from gettin drunk and wathcing the awsome line up!! so i just got a couple of questions

- do we need our own tent?

- any1 have a plan of the the layout etc? we are in red camp and i have no clue how the parking/camping works

- is the camps open on friday? if so what time?

any other handy bits on bobs any1 wants to chuck in but much appriciated lol!

Do you need a tent.... awesome!! haha

As said before u need to get there early to get a good spot. I was working last yr but got friends to put my tent up n they got there about 9am on the Fri to make sure we got a good spot all together (about 7 tents with a gazebo). As said above if u get there early u get to park closer to the camp site but this does have its downfalls when trying to get out on the Monday as ur at the back of a long, slow moving que of cars so expect a wait. Swings n roundabouts n all that.

Make sure u get everything u need early as the supermarkets will sell out close to the date if u live reasonably close. It's quite funny going shopping on the Thurs night as the supermarkets are full of V goers n they stick out like a saw thumb. Just trollies full of alcohol, wet wipes etc, junk food and water lol We meet up about a week before V get everything we need and split the cost and share. Things u must buy! (off the top of my head) Hand sanitiser, wet wipes (+ femfresh for the girls lol), deoderant, water and something to identify u tent with. It sounds silly but theres soo many tents u wont be able to find urs. Buy something silly thats gonna help u spot ur tent and then stick it on a pole up high. Last year we just got some stupid kids toy and stuck it on a few spare tent poles.

More will probably come to me later so I'll update this as n when i think of things

Don't carry water - it's bloody heavy!! Just take empty water bottles and fill em up onsite Learnt that the hard way after lugging a 5 litre bottle my first year xx

Definitely worth getting there on the friday and milling around chatting to random people. It 's great watching people arrive and getting all excited.
