Avenged Sevenfold and Slipknot?

Last year the stand out band on the original line-up for me was Slipknot. I was gutted when they pulled out and even more pissed off when a plane flew over the Leeds site promoting their new album at the time they were due to perform. Another band I was keen to see were Avenged Sevenfold, they were bad for the 3 or 4 songs they did ( fair enough they were ill ) so I thought the two may appear this year to make up last years let downs. Anyone heard if they are to perform?

Yeah, Slipknot are Download exclusives and A7x are Sonisphere exclusives, so no, neither will play.

Yeah I understand the nature of the thread, and why it would be good for them to return but money comes before things like that I am afraid and Download got there first..

I would like to see A7X but from what I have heard, on a personal level they are very cocky..

Be nice if Slipknot had a "special guests" slot, to be announced after Download, that'd be possible.

Yeah Lostprophets played V as well as headlining Download so could be possible.

Avenged Sevenfold definately won't be there this year as their Sonisphere appearance is billed as their only UK show this year so to play Reading (advertised or not) would be false advertising and breach of contract.
