Should we get the coach package tickets?

I have my tickets for red campsite but a friend of ours didn't get any and we are now wondering whether he should just go for the coach package tickets and hopefully swap the camping tickets for red when we get there? I've never actually had to swap before, I know you always see people swapping at the gates etc.

Have any of you done this in the past? Also, if we do book the coach package - do you still get the normal V ticket separate from any sort of coach ticket - as he won't actually be going by coach, don't want to book via this method and then have to worry about getting tickets from coach station or something mad like that!!!!

I think they give out the actual V tickets on the coach matey - may be wrong though! x

We just booked the coach and camping package as that was the only way we could get tickets and yes you do have to get the coach. They give you tickets once your on the coach

They dont give them on the coac, i did it last year, the coach drops you off at a designated area and you que up to change ur coach ticket for a festival ticket, and u'll be camping in yellow.

Thanks for that - wouldn't really work for us then as he wouldn't be getting the coach at all!!!
