well tonight brings news of his new band and possible the end of stripes me thinks. The new bands album is out in June so maybe they will play Glasto. Jack plays Drums in the band with fellow Raconteur Little jack on bass and Dean Fertita from Queens Of The Stone Age on guitar with the band been fronted by The kills Alison Mosshart

just heard about this, not too sure what to think, Jack white on drums is all well and good but hes a much better guitarist and much better with the racs and stripes - im sure the stripes wont be playing now

but, unfortunately, it's probably the end of the White Stripes playing Glasto 09 rumour, don't u think?

perhaps The Dead Weather are the ones who will l be playing instead...which would be good to see regardless.

Thus Q jump to conclusions and publish that White Stripes might be playing.

I saw this bit of news and immediately thought that they would be playing Glasto as opposed to the White Stripes. I'm okay with that, Jack White in any capacity is always a good thing. I only wish the Raconteur that was involved was Brendan instead, I have a bit of a crush on him.

ok so jack said they will play some shows when the album comes out(june) so glasto is a maybe i guess. Hope they don't do many though and then let him get on with the stripes i really can't wait much longer for another album. He did say though that now his music can reach us very fast so thats a good sign.

Hey my fiance and I are huge white stripes fans, pretty much got us into the blues. we're going on our honeymoon later this year to the US and are going to Nashville, Memphis and the Mississippi delta, will definitely be taking in the store and blackbird studios!!

Not sure about those two songs, I hope this isn't the end of the whie stripes, for all their bullshit they did make some cracking tunes. Fingers crossed they still play.
