Jeez Benj, I think I spent most of last year disagreeing with most things you said, but you got it spot on with your two posts above!

How can you be so convinced you're right but yet be so wrong? Unfortunately every time someone disagrees with you, you start swearing and losing the plot.

Clearly, anyone aged between 30 and 40 now would have got Oasis at their best. Why do you think many posts say they are a shadow of their former selves, or just a tribute band?

You accuse people of being old and boring, then start championing an old and boring (IMO)band.

Oasis had great success, but other bands emerging now are far more exciting - having seen new and old I can only recommend that the buzz comes from the new.

And try to remember that just coz you shout and stamp your feet the loudest, that doesnt make you any more right :D

hahahha, he was your age when Oasis were actually good and slightly relevant!

How does someone who is at most 19 become a big Oasis fan in this day and age?? there's hundreds of more interesting bands out there, you should be into some kind of Screamo, shouty bollocks, not some old dad rockers living on past glories. Oasis were good in the 90s (93-97 anyway), they're not now

You're only young once lad, don't waste your youth on Oasis

i press keys i dont shout :D

i just made the point that most people have more of a fondess for the bands around in the decade they were born!

i dont think im guna be gettin angry at people at V, cos ill be a much happier GCSE free person by then!

besides you all seem to think im the most argumentitive person on efests

which is a true enough statement but you all seem to love arguments just as much as i do

the only difference is! people who dont know a thing about music dont come up to you and say shit like

"ooh hes a 16 year old licking oasis' arse"

which im sure would offend you just as much as it does me

Really? What if you were born on the 31st December 1989, Will you only be fond for Auld Lansine (or however its spelt)?

I guess Im being pedantic and you mean the first 10 years of your life. Not the case for me really, I'd say between 13 and 23 were the 10 years for me but Im still fond of new music now, Im not one to dwell on the past much

Pedantic - not witty!

I dont agree. I think you start identifying with and remember bands from your formative years. Musically speaking I reckon when you are between about 10 and 20 years old.

By your theory I would have the greatest fondness for bands such as Deep Purple, T Rex, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Black Sabbath (all of whom I love) whereas my affinity lies with The Jam, Marillion, The Cure and early U2 (amongst many others from the 80s and early 90s) and these are the ones I can always return to. All others come and go, good and bad, but these never leave.

Probably simply because I never heard the others as they were new, never saw them gig in their heyday, and my mates never talked about them all the time. I think that gives you your strongest influences.

Discuss! :D
