10 festivals, 9 Pyramid headliners ranked Kendrick 2022 Elton 2023 Coldplay 2024 (saw half the set) Radiohead 2017 Beyoncé 2011 Guns and Roses 2023 (saw half the set) Kanye 2015 Arctics 2007 U2 2011 Had 3 years where I didn’t see a single Pyramid headliner (2008, 2009, 2019). Missing Blur and The Killers (and to a lesser extent Stormzy) still pains me.

I was a big fan of early eurthymics...started to go down hill mid 80s onwards for me...so I watched some of that, did quite a bit of skipping. -

They tend to tour on strict cycles (every 2/3 years, usually on the back of an album) and don't seem to deviate from that. Apparently they've been close at least once, I remember them being strongly linked in 2009, but for some reason (probably money), both parties have never been able to make it happen. 2027 could be a contender (if they are touring), but I've been saying there's a chance for years. Maybe that ship has sailed. As a fan, I think they'd be fantastic (waving my arms from side-to-side to the outro of Never Let Me Down Again at the Pyramid is a Glastonbury dream I visualise often). For the casuals, alongside Gahan's stage presence, they've probably got enough reasonably well-known songs in the set to maintain 100 minutes of interest. Hugely underrated in this country in my opinion but as I say, I'm a fan. With all due respect to Neil Young, if he can headline (for a second time), Depeche Mode absolutely can. And it would be Pyramid headliner or nothing. I'd love it to happen but I'm not so confident that it will.
