zeppelin
i'm sure they said after the '07 festival run that they don't enjoy doing festivals and didn't want to do them anymore. happy to be proved wrong though.
srvman
in my opinion arcade fire went to glastonbury a year earlier than they should have (i think they should have played in 2008) and if they had timed a second album for last summer, they may well have had the KOL headlining slot, and then they would be the "next big thing" .....(i say sarcastically) KOL from memory didnt get much praise from crowd....but it still seemed to propel them into limelight... tht or that stupid song about Thrush.... darrenbha
They definitely said they wouldn't be keen on doing festivals again. Can't see this one sadly
Boris
Sources? Seems a weird thing for them to say...
ollyh
As much as I'd love it, its not going to happen guys, sorry. They haven't got any future shows or festivals planned and I doubt they'll do anything before their next album is out (possibly end of year), so it looks very unlikely for them to do festivals this year and they wouldn't be that high up on the pyramid anyway. darrenbha
Not sure on the source off the top of my head. It may have been an interview but it was heavily quoted in a thread last year about wanting arcade fire to play

Ed209
So they didn't like festivals because they were muddy ... w*nkers. Its not the festivals' fault that its muddy, its the weather's. Der
