russycarps
I know he is down as a "strong rumour" but as far as I am aware this is only because he is doing other UK/ireland festivals. This seems such a fragile thing to cling on to! Someone must have more info! The so called feud between Nick M Eavis scares the living piss out of me. I would give my left conker to hear Stagger Lee at glastonbury. By the Gods, please let it happen!

russycarps
You just picked probably the best song from the 2nd best Cave album ever. Murder Ballads was superb. Prefered Boatmans call tho.
darrenbha
Don't think the latitude confirmation completely rules it out. Keeping my fingers crossed for now

lme
I really hope he plays. I used to go & see him a fair bit around the time of 'Tender Prey'. He's so good live. Remember seeing him at Reading festival, late afternoon years ago. He was wearing a suit, white shirt & tie (looked quite out of place for the main stage @ Reading really) came on to the stage, carefully hung his jacket on a mike stand or something, then whirled round & went straight into something like 'from her to eternity'. Was an amazing set.

russycarps
Michael Eavis told a friend of mine /index.php?showtopic=115026&hl=nick+cave">Cave was playing, this was after the NME awards on the train back down to the South West. He also told him Neil Young was confirmed, this was a week or so before they announced Young...So, the rumour does have some basis. I'm a huge fan as well so really hoping it comes off and wasn't just Eavis blabbing about unconfirmed acts... Going off topic for a second: Mr Ploppy - you're not the same Mr Ploppy who used to be around on the Napster Alternative server 9 years or so ago by any chance? (and apologies if I've asked you this before, my memory 'aint what it used to be!)
