hogga
Saw them last year on the Avalon and loved 'em. But - and I know I'm going to sound stupid here - what actually is the Glastonbury World Cup? Been twice, seen this mentioned loads, but still have no idea. Is it just a big, all-in kickaround? CardiffWanderer
Basically its something two of us talked about last year and its grew ever since. Its just going to be a good laugh with the band playing then a kickabout with Q Glastonbury review there to report on events. We thought it would be a good way of getting everyone together before going to the cider bus.
hogga
Good on you mate. Come for the music, stay for the game then drink the night away at the cider bus.

hogga
Well done Hogga! I've been dipping in and out of the eFests World Cup mega-thread for quite a while and I think it's great what everyone's doing to get this up and running. May I ask (I don't fancy looking through 70+ pages!), whereabouts in the Pyramid field is everyone meeting (I know it may be somewhat obvious on the day if posts are up , but....)? Also, I may be mistaken but I think I read something on the mega-thread that mentioned charity being involved somewhere. Is that the case and if so what's the plan, please? Thanks! beadfc
Hobo Jones are based in my home town, indeed one of the guys in the band works at a cheesy club I sometimes go to. I have seen them a few times now and are just such a great band for Glastonbury. Count me in for the football too!

hogga
Is this definitely right? They are usually still setting up the sound equipment on a Thursday night, and if I'm not mistaken the speakers aren't even in position on the Wednesday?
