TOOL

That would be superb! Can't help but be pessimistic and assume the cash cow that is sonisphere might swoop in first though.

Edit: Never gonna happen, but how epic would it be to see them headline the second stage :P

i'm not sure about sonisphere, because i cant see them playing under linkin park. Doesn't seem to fit, NIN are already under metallica who knows!?

and second stage headliners, that would be INSANE :D same day as arctic monkeys or KOL, that would be brilliant. Unfortunatley never going to happen ey :P

To be honest I want someone rubbish under Radiohead.

Radiohead are an amazing live band, period.

BUT Radiohead are unquestionably, uncontestably and forever will remain the greatest live band of all time. If you're stoned.

I don't want to miss any of Tool though.

would have me back at leeds instantly. Missed out on seeing tool for their last tour so i'm shocked they're back so soon, more likely a band for sonisphere though (although neil said that the lineup for the linkin park day wouldn't be as heavy). Either way, it would have to be headlining the tent, it's bigger now and after the mass exodus for nin in 07 i doubt a significant amount of people who go to reading/ leeds even know who tool are lol.

They won't do Download...all the top spots gone there.

Probs won't do Reading...so it's gonan be Sonispher eif they do any of the 3. Which makes sense as with Sonisphere's 2 main stage deal thing they need 1 more headliner....Metallica, NIN and Linkin park being 3 of the 4 already.

And Sonisphere's twitter mentioned Tool a couple weeks ago, starting the whole 'Tool for sonisphere' rumour.

If Tool play Reading, I'm there for that day.

Though I suspect they'll play Sonisphere.

Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Slipknot, Rage perhaps?

Followed by Guns n Roses, Aerosmith, SOAD reunion and Metallica again?

But yeah, I doubt Sonisphere's line-up will be anywhere near as good next year. I reckon they're just trying to really charge at the market and get their own fanbase.

I dunno, id imagine Placebo want to play second where ever they play and when tool came up they were certs to play second so sonisphere said 3rd or nothing and placebo walked and reading took them up pushing offspring down to 3rd with janes addiction 4th

Of course there will always be good headliners (well not always as download has struggled in recent years) but the acts they have a bit further down on the bill have been pretty excelent this year, and I cant see them matching it in years to come. Too much too soon?
