also, his songs actually have meaning and draw on important incidents in his life - not just generic poppy lovesongs that appeal to the mindless music buying public who will like anything that's put in front of them.

Seasick Steve is a god of the Hill Country Delta Blues - he's a hillbilly Hendrix with less strings. For those who don't know who he is imagine the Worzels (I've got a brand new combine harvester) meets Deliverance but with the guitar prowess of some of the greats and tunes you just can't stop tapping your foot to!

It's good that Seasick Steve isn't playing. Why would anybody want to play it - it's a big, corporate pop festival without a heart and very few bands worth watching, those that are, are only there for the payday.

V Festival gigs cancelled

As some of you have noticed, Steve is no longer playing at V Festival. Steve and I want to convey are most sincere apologies to those that were hoping to see Steve at V.

Unofficially, what happened is that the folks at V Festival reneged on their contract with Steve and he got bumped by Taylor Swift. SO, if you have any questions or complaints, please direct them at the V Festival organisers.

Again, very sorry.

Please don't bottle Taylor. She is the only reason i am going. Don't ruin it for people who want to see her. I have been going to festivals for nearly 20 years and people would never bottle a band they didn't like. It's just a recent thing since chavs decided it was cool to go.

The whole point of a music festival is a celebration of music no matter the genre. Yo don tlike an act? fair enough don't see them. I would not waste my time. There are other things to do. Why are people so angry?

Taylor also is not manufactured or from Disney. Her only connection from Disney was after the huge success of her first album. She made it on her own. Hired by a record company as a songwriter first and then went out on her own. She is not demanding either. Unlike other artists her age she is the only one who is still down to earth and actually makes effort for her fans.

So please from a fan, please do not ruin my day.
