Also seen a new blog on the Sonisphere Myspace about a competition. Sounds pretty mental! They are going to be dropping usb sticks in venues and if you find it you get free weekend tickets. You need to get clues on Twitter.

yep, only reason glasto introduced it was because things went pete tong last year. Serves them right though, two day festival for 160 (in a recession as well lol) is obscene.

instead of spending their time setting up this hair brained scheme, and redesigning their shitty website, the organisers would be better spending their time announcing the final line up, answering the "day tickets or not" question (preferably growing some balls in the meantime), and planning a f**king awesome festival.

They're not in a hurry to do it, so they'll try whatever they can to get the weekend tickets shifted before that happens. Alternatively, whilst it was on the strength of Linkin Parks successful last European tour that they were booked as headliners, the organisers are aware the crunch is maybe affecting those who previously had the luxury of freefloating capital to pay for these things upfront and so are now taking a leaf out of the very successful Glastonbury strategy book.

I think it's a sign of how relatively weak Linkin Park are that I tend to assume LP = LostProphets.

Yeah, it's annoying when DL won't announce day tickets on the off chance that weekend tickets sell out. They never do so when day tickets get announced you know ticket sales aren't doing well.

I think you misunderstood my point, I am in agreement with you, I dont think they should sell day tickets, which I why I said they should grow some balls and come out and say they arent.
