Tribute band stage?

Just an idea...but given the fact that we're never gonna see the likes of the stone roses or the smiths again...how would people feel about having a tribute band stage at V? Get the likes of The Clone Roses, The Smiths Indeed etc etc. Could be a laugh. Maybe for the Friday night if they decide to go to 3 days at Staffs next year again...

thats a well good idea actually cos some of the tribute acts out there are really credible, you could ahve it on a friday night ebfore the indie disco get that started a bit later, full day of entertainment then like the other festivals that boast 3 days of music!

Watched "The Fab Four" in Las Vegas in 2007 - absolutely fantastic!! Scarily good and scarily accurate...

However, don't think there needs to be a stage for tributes - the likes of Bootleg Beatles and Bjorn Again have played the normal stages at V no problem...

Such a move would probably be too original for V.

However, I recently saw a band called Tragedy supporting Electric Six, they were a brilliant Bee Gees heavy metal tribute band.

If they started booking tribute bands most people on here would be moaning more than they are already, if that is possible.

Personally I think it will be a bad move. Leave that for Butlins.

That would be a great idea, The Clone Roses are better than the Stone Roses were live, The SMiths Indeed are fantastic.

But there is a festival like that is it called Guilfest, all tribute bands etc.. it is supposed to be a really good weekend.

I would always be up for that though, The Clone Roses are playing at one of the festival I think
