Me too, this will be my 5th time at NOS and we get flights, air bnb and tickets booked before any bands are announced. This year we skipped the Friday and stayed in Lisbon, but the Saturday was worth the 3 Day Pass cost alone, Pearl Jam were amazing!
Next year i have no pull to the main stage at all for the first night. However what i do like is how NOS opens me up to new bands, some i have never heard of but have millions or billions of streams on Spotify.
I would love the Fontaines DC to be there, i saw them in Leeds last week and they were amazing, but it seems this is not likely as they are headlining Primavera sounds in Porto, but does this write them off? Surely it can be like the UK when bands headline multiple festivals throughout the summer.
I will be there again next year regardless, but not for a while have i looked at one of the announements and had that "WOW" moment. Probably for me it's only been for The Cure and Pearl Jam
The Dragonfly is exclusive to Glastonbury and I doubt you'll see The Spider on the farm again - it's grown legs!
The Afterburner is now resident at Valley Festival.
The Crane.. well, we watched it get ripped apart by heavy plant right in front of our eyes (webcam) 🙂
