Cashpoints in the festival?

First time i will have used them, always just took all of it with me.

Just wondering how much, if any, do they charge to take money out?

and also, is there a lot of them, or will i be waiting for a while?

Just as a note. As Glastonbury falls near the end of the month i took my credit card in case I needed to draw cash - but i found that the cashpoints at Glastonbury don't do credit cards.

Next time I would need to make sure I leave some money in my account. (Cash from credit cards is very bad anyway)

No charge. Never used them myself though so can't help with queue questions.

I can definitely recommend the lockups. After I got stuck in 2003 waiting for nearly 2 hours to take cash out of the cashpoint, I now take all my cash with me, then put it in a not-obvious-it's money bag in the lockups, then go over every morning and take out what I need for the day.

Only the ones up at the farm are free, the couple other ones about charge around £2

I get paid on the 25th and as I only work part time I don't have a lot of cash so think I'll need to take a trip to the cash point during the festival (first time I will have done this). Good to know there are some free ones though.

Another thumbs up for taking all the cash you need, and using the lockups.

When you're first camped, if you don't know where your nearest one is, make that a first job on your way for the first beer in "town". There's about 10 or so, so it's normally quite easy to make one specific one part of your way home. When it becomes part of the "going home" routine, it's quite easy to do - I find.

I used them once last year about about 9am and there were no queues. I might have just been really lucky though?

I've found the best time to go, is when you don't need cash, you will then find a cash machine, with cash still in it, and no queue!

I reccomend going at a really obscure time.. 3/4am never any queues, and sometimes midday if you are lucky.. varies a lot, sometimes queues seem massive, sometimes there are none.
