Reading tickets same price as Glasto

got to look at timing of the festivals as well. Holidays in August cost much more than in June as parents can take their.kids. Simple market economics, plus factor in the greater chance of good weather, generally "more popular" acts and i'd say if anything i'm suprised L/R isn't pricier than Glasto and its only Glasto's reputation and longstandingness that keeps them on a par.

Its expensive when you consider glasto is wed-mon and and reading and leeds you have to pay extra for the wednessday night. But saying that the line-up for reading and leeds is amazing and i would defo pay that to go - but im not gna go cus im seeing michael jackson that weekend

To you yes, to the organisers no.

Band X charge 1,000,000 per show, but you have two sites. You arrange for Band X to play at both sites for the price of 1,800,000 (deal!)

You have 180,000 attendees over both sites price per person = £10

If you only have to pay 1,000,000 for your 180,000 attendees (ie glasto) price per person =£5.50. Nearly half the cost.

its quite simple really

One thing I don't understand is why Radiohead are playing when they ruled out Glasto one year due to carbon emissions, surely playing two festivals so close, getting all your stuff from one to another will be very high on the carbon emissions and isn't very environmentally friendly!

I am not a Radiohead hater, and would have liked them to be at Glasto as the boyfriend would love to see them but I can't help but wonder why they would do R/L and not Glasto if they were so worried about emissions and the environment.

If I am wrong about the environmental reasons I apologise now!
