paolo55
That doesn't mean I am not getting a bit sick of a lot of the people on these boards that automatically think that every other festival is shit and that they are somehow better than everyone who goes to non Glastonbury festivals. I've had brilliant weekends in the past at T in the Park, V and Connect. A lot of people on here should probably pull their heads out their arses and stop congratulating themselves for being a Glastonbury regular. crimsonking
It does make me laugh how people get all tribal over a music festival, FFS dudes lighten up some of you.
darrenbha
I've never seen this discussion before, well not in the last 5 minutes anyway and as i've said previously i take exception to the OP's generalisation, I go to Glasto for the vibe, i really enjoy other festivals depending on their line ups, i'm impressed with the strength across the board of reading / leeds line up and i'll go there just for the music this year,

theleedslads
I feel a little bit gutted everytime another festival lineup gets released! I always wish Glastonbury had the bands Leeds/Reading etc has..... Then i get to the festival and it really doesnt matter, Glasto is King... for me anyway! mikeb
I very much have the world famous Eavis opinion on this subject: EVERY festival I go to EVERY year is absolutely ALWAYS the best ever TM or at least the best ever since 'official' records began anyway !!! What I mean is that each and every festival I attend is without doubt the best at what it does IMHO and that's precisely why I choose to regularly attend said festivals. It's just about impossible to compare and rate the same festival in different years never mind compare and rate completely different festivals. Horses for courses and all that. Trying to somehow prove that 10 apples is way better than 7 oranges and then convince everyone else of this apparently vitally important fact of life is a futile and completely pointless exercise I have no single favourite festival ... I have several ! They all do exactly what they say on the tin, they all never fail to satisfy each & every year and they all provide me with something quite different. Hopefully they will also all continue to do so until such time as I'm no longer able to drag my sorry carcass complete with tent and rucksack full of cr@p various out of the front door and half way across the country to attend what will always be "the best festival ever held on that particular date in that particular year" Edited March 31, 2009 by mikeb

Kyelo
Well at least they seem to make up the majority of the board anyway. I'm probably being a bit melodramatic I admit.

paolo55
Fair enough probably didn't require a new thread but I think all the new threads after Reading and Leeds lineup meant the usual points were being made by other people who think that other festivals are only OK for people who only listen to bands that NME, radio 1 or whoever tell them to.
