would love it to happen, but cant see it myself.

and they would have to headline the other stage, as i cant really see them playing 2nd fiddle to anyone (even as good as the pyramid headliners are) as for my money, they are 1 of the top 3 live acts in the country - as they proved again on friday night

No Bristol Academy date, which is interesting, along with the gap in the glasto weekend.

Last time they played and they had a gap in their tour they announced Bristol academy at the last minute to warm up for glasto.

Interesting, maybe im just pinning too much on hope :D

As a few of us posted yesterday, Tom Meighan said on 6 Music News that they'd been booked to play a "major UK festival" this summer. I doubt The Great Escape counts, and they're not confirmed for any other line-ups (most of which have their quota of big bands confirmed already). I'd imagine they're pretty much a cert for Glasto. So I reckon them and Bloc Party will share between them a 2nd top Pyramid slot and an Other stage headline slot. But which for which?

I can only tell you what I heard, and only yesterday they said they were playing a major uk fest. It's probably on iPlayer from during Lamacq's show. Bands come out with that kind of bollocks all the time anyway, money and publicity always talk. Bloc party told reading and leeds they wouldnt see them for a while during last years performance!

The gap in the schedule is very telling I think.

Well it won't be V festival, or Reading, or T in the Park, or Isle of Wight, or Download, and I think they would have headlined had it been Latitude. Doubt he'd call Great Escape a major UK festival (because 1. its not major and 2. they are already confirmed so there would be no need to keep the name of the festival secret) so....

Unless he was lying, they are playing Glastonbury.

Since Bloc Party and Kanye West are supposed to be on the Other Stage, and I can't see Bloc Party settling for 2nd on the Other, I'm guessing maybe Kasabian are playing the same slot as in 2007?
