I can only tell you what I heard, and only yesterday they said they were playing a major uk fest. It's probably on iPlayer from during Lamacq's show. Bands come out with that kind of bollocks all the time anyway, money and publicity always talk. Bloc party told reading and leeds they wouldnt see them for a while during last years performance!

The gap in the schedule is very telling I think.

Well it won't be V festival, or Reading, or T in the Park, or Isle of Wight, or Download, and I think they would have headlined had it been Latitude. Doubt he'd call Great Escape a major UK festival (because 1. its not major and 2. they are already confirmed so there would be no need to keep the name of the festival secret) so....

Unless he was lying, they are playing Glastonbury.

Since Bloc Party and Kanye West are supposed to be on the Other Stage, and I can't see Bloc Party settling for 2nd on the Other, I'm guessing maybe Kasabian are playing the same slot as in 2007?

After seeing Kasbian a week ago i think there new stuff is brilliant. They are also so good live. I think if someone could have seen how good they were going to be this year they should have been book as a main headliner for a big feastival this year!

Spotted the gap in the schedule at work - fingers crossed as they are one of the best live bands around .

My first experience was at the Radio 1 big weekend in Preston and I was not a big fan but they just blew everyone away especially Razorlight who were on next and they had no answer .

So if it happens please don't clash with Neil Young :P

Fantastic, looking forward to hearing the new single tonight and the 2 new songs (Fire and Underdog) sound absolutely great so the new album is going to be good and then of course they've got the classics as well, so they will be one of my highlights of this year's fest if they do play (looks likely) :P

Id be so made up if this happened!

Saw them in Preston last week and they were amazing, that good I even forgave Tom for his dodgy haircut! New stuff sounded excellent, roll on the new album and the announcement that would put us all out of our misery!

That good? Jesus.

Don't get me wrong bro, we both saw them make shit of the Other Stage in '05... Dunno whether they should just give it a year or two and come back and do some serious damage?!?

Apart from last year theyve played every year since 2004. Enough already!
