Camping Access

Reading the official website,it reckons you can access campsite from 3:00 am on the Thursday!!!

Can you get to the carparks from this time? Are there stewards about from this time?

last year we got there about 7am on the thursday and there was already a queue of people to get into the campsite at that time, i cant be ceratain but i dont think they started letting people in til about 9am, but of course last year was the first year you had to exchange your ticket for wristband as you went in which slowed things down a bit.

going for early entry this year, the only other time we did this was in 06, and looking back dont know why we dont do this every year, less volume of people about makes it easier carrying your stuff from car and gives you a much better chance of camping where you want rather than just where you can find the space, we got a fantastic camping spot in 06 with a great view of the whole of red camp. we had another two friends with early entry tickets who didnt get there til early hours of thursday between 3 and 5am i think, and they got in no problem, but like i say they had early entry.

To be honest, I thought they sold far too many Early Entry tickets last year. The Wednesday was like what the Thursday used to be like before the EEs. There was thousands of people there and they didn't let people in on time so everyone was just sat around in the car parks.

God knows where people camp who come on the Thursday!

So yeah, come on the Wednesday, an extra night of drinking and it will allow you to comap relatively close to the Arena! If you can't make the Wednesday, just give your tent to your mates and they can pitch it for you.
