first time coach-ee

Hello Hello!

Will be travelling down from edinburgh on the coach, and get there on wednesday afternoon. I was looking at the fine guide festival map and noticed that the bus station is at the opposite end to the pennard hill which is where we camped last year. Not sure we fancy trecking all the way over there and back on monday to get the bus again (did too much walking on a daily basis to my parents campervan last year!) so was wondering if you can camp anywhere closer to the station? do these campsites fill up quickly? and whats the situation like on monday going to get the coaches back.. is there a fair chance u might miss it because its very crowded?

I ask waaaay too many questions...

The fields immediately around the bus station usually still have the odd space on the Thursday afternoon.

We camped in the field the John Peel Tent is in last year and arrived there at about 7pm on Wednesday evening and we had our pick of space.

The ones a bit further away from the station but still on that side of things like Big Ground and Kidney Mead fill up much quicker as they're that bit closer to the main attraction.

The John Peel Tent field is fairly flat, as is the one up from it, behind the indoor cinema the one you walk into immediately after getting off the coach. Sorry I don't know about the others.

Have a look at the FAQ by Tort in Glastoearth, its as good as taking a walk round the campsites!
