I recall ralph250 saying that he couldnt see Glasto booking Mogwai this year as Blur are the headliners. Due to Mogwai's feud with Blur in the past he doubts Glasto will want to book a band that'll possibly undermine the sunday headliner..............

Could be a good argument...........

They also may simply be not on the Glasto radar at all..............

i think that's a terrible argument! and there was no feud, mogwai made it known that they don't like blur. i'm sure tons of bands don't like each other but it won't mean they'll not book them.

dont see why they would be 'under the radar', they are pretty damn big! Anyway I saw them on the pyramid stage back in 03, was awesome. Reckon there's a chance, if they are worried about them not getting on with blur just put them on a different day!

it was only something I thought might be a consideration at the time...especially as mogwai brought it up again recently....I'd love them to play, but just wasn't sure it was likely; they're both doing T in the park on the same day tho so maybe so.

Yes please! Saw them headline the Other Stage in 1999 - God was that 10 years ago?! Absolutely immense. I remember during their epic rendition of Mogwai Fear Satan more and more people kept coming onstage and plugging in, they had about six guitarists by the end and it was just ear-shreddingly massive. Would love to see them at Glastonbury again.
