Had a go at putting a setlist together. It isn’t too dissimilar to @NorthernSoul52’s from the other day but I’ve got a few different songs in there and a different order: 1. It’s Not Living (If It’s Not With You) 10. Robbers 11. I’m In Love With You 12. Somebody Else 13. Be My Mistake 14. I Always Wanna Die (Sometimes) 15. Love It If We Made It 16. Love Me 17. Girls 18. About You 19. Give Yourself A Try 20. Chocolate 21. Sex 22. The Sound I kept toying with the idea of ‘Will the bust out Antichrist?’ I feel like they have to open with If You’re Too Shy. It would just be so perfect. -
Finally got the knack of the game and knocking down 2 coconuts with one shot now, took a while to get going. Seem to be getting the same few names over and over again Courteeners, CMAT, Blossoms, Franz Ferdinand. Looking at @Tonybyates post that's nine names, do we think thats it from the games/clues etc? -
Central Cee into Travis Scott makes sense because the hype, the material, the crowd demographic. There will be a lot of burned tents that night. Chappel into a rock act with a big show like Foos or BMTH makes the most sense again, because the glammy music fans that enjoy Chappel will enjoy the rock show afterwards. Hozier into Post Malone, again you have Hoziers southern gothic and dark sounds which appeals to contemporary soft music fans, going into Posties white guy hip hop crossovers. I can't say whether or not Sam Fender is suitable to headline the Pyramid, it’s ultimately subjective. He’d probably do more than well but for me it's worth noting that he’s an artist with a relatively modest 4M monthly listeners, which is low. From the perspective of a Glastonbury attendee travelling from outside the UK, I feel it would be a bit unusual for the headliner to be an artist I barely know two songs by. I understand that the festival is much more than its headliners, but I like to think that getting a ticket to Glasto gives you the chance to see artists that are rarely accessible or available at other festivals. Sam Fender isn't one of them. When I think back to 2016, when I was there, I got to see Adele and Coldplay, and it blows my mind. These are artists that could sell out stadiums around the world even then. That's kind of what I still expect from the festival.
