can someone sum up the 'world cup' thread in about 300 words for me?

This is great, ive often wanted to tackle the massive world cup thread but never got round to it.

So this match takes place in the Pyramid field? Is that field no on a big slant?? You`l spend more time chasing the ball down the hill than playing :)

Im defo gonna get myself along for the crack!!

Basically, on the weds of glastonbury in the afternoon, the heroic, magnificnet (if slightly lardy) ROW team are going to do the right thing and show the English team how to play football.

Essentially, it'll be 'Escape to Victory + Roy of the rovers + Billy the fish and all that is good and right in the world' against 'The sheriff of nottingham + Franchise Utd + people who kill baby seals for fun' :):):)

Just to confirm some of the '300 words':

Its a match between england and rest of the world (ROW)

Kick off 4pm pyramid field on the wednesday.

Hobo jones playing at around 3.

Match 30 min each way.

Trophy presented by someone from Glasto hopefully.

Shirts may well be provided.

Donations to water aid

well the teams are about 20 strong each right now, and thats not finished numbers.

basically we will have rollin subs so everyone will get a game ( nowt to do with chronicly unfit players, honest :D ) so feel free to sign up to play.

interested peeps in any way (players/cheerleaders/supporters) should join the mfg, it will give a better overview than the main thread, which is basically jus a banter thread right now.
