challengechappers
their myspace says their playing on the 27th, stage unknown - i heard they're headlining The Park, which means an unfortunate clash with The Boss for me Edited April 10, 2009 by challengechappers

sonic_sam
Live, they're all about playing 'Fireworks' for as long as possible. 15 minutes plus please chaps. They were opening with a new song called either 'Sky' or 'Blue Sky' last tour which was good. Geologist was tapping a sick hip-hop beat on and off. They'll be a highlight of the festival for sure. Onion Terror
I'm a big fan of Strawberry Jam but still cant decide which is my favourite, it changes depending on y mood I suppose. For tracks off other albums on Spotify try "For Reverend Green", "Banshee Beat" and "Fireworks" for a good overview of what to expect. Also, if you like Merriweather you'll really like "Person Pitch" which is a solo album by Panda Bear, one of the two frontmen of Animal Collective. In my opinion its one of the best albums of recent times, especially through headphones, and I wish everyone would give it a chance. Really hope its not true that they're clashing with The Boss though. I'm not gonna complain about being spoilt for choice though
ToxicJesus
They've got Glastonbury listed on their MySpace now, definitely on the Saturday. I'm a bit worried the set won't go down too well as I can see them playing tonnes of new stuff over the MPP 'hits'. I remember a show they did in London in 2007 where they played loads of what would become Merriweather and it was AMAZING but the crowd was weak and it got slated in the press who now all fawn over MPP. I'm a bit worried they may play a similar new jam loaded set and people will come with the expectation of seeing them crank out My Girls and Summertime Clothes (or House and Bearhug as they were back then ) and be disappointed. I'd absolutely love a new set of songs though, been seeing the MPP songs for 2 years now! A 'greatest hits' set could also be phenomenal though, especially if they play Comfy in Nautica as they did a year or so back or if they could get other Panda Bear tunes in. Sorry for the ramble, slightly more official AC confirmation got me giddy!
Limpet
THEY ARE PLAYING THE SATURDAY!!!!!! This is the best news I've heard all week. Its my 30th on the Saturday and I really was hoping on a good headliner on one of the other stages as I didn't really fancy Bruce (Jo Whiley said they were headlining the Park right?). I saw them a few weeks back in Bristol and the setlist was very MPP heavy. I think it was something like this which should give a rough clue as to what their Glasto set will be like. Guys Eyes Also Frightened Chores (new version) Summertime Clothes Slippi Lion In A Coma What Would I Want Sky (great new song) Lablakely Dress/Fireworks Brother Sport Encore Daily Routine Leaf House They were awesome although I was a bit disappointed by My Girls . It just really didn't kick in like the album version. The rest was spot on mind.
