Just to confirm , if you have your wristband and ticket , and the pass out they give you at the gate there

is no problem going back to your car.

We arrive Weds morning ! , and I usually leave about 20 cans in a freezer box with ice packs.

Friday or Saturday morning I am usually up for stretching my legs, so just wander back to the car

with an empty rucksack.

Its nice to get back to our camping area and unload a load of cold cans !

Having done this for the last five or so years , I have noticed plenty of people back at their cars , collecting stuff or just charging their phones up !

100% sure you can, 99% sure you can't be arsed after doing the trek once or twice on arrival day!

I quite enjoy a little quiet stroll to the car at some point over the weekend, i find it relaxing to have a few minutes away and a doze to get myself all juiced up for the remainder of the onslaught. So I heartily recommend a trip back to the car.

I am more of a get everything in on Wednesday in two trips kind of girl. I just want to be in and settled and let the fun begin. Usually we all carry as much as possible then two people stay behind to put the tents up while the rest go back and get everything else.

By the time they are back the tents are up and all thats left to do is unpack and collect fire wood. Then sit back have a drink and watch the site fill up.

Don't forget that the weather can also play a huge part in whether or not it's worth returning to the car parks. In 2005, my other half decided to leave my wellies in the car as it was sunny when we arrived...needless to say, the trip/swim back to the car park on the Friday took AGES and was quite unpleasant! Make sure you take the 'cannot live without' type of essentials on your first trip, and you should be fine.
