The Friendly Fires

Hi guys n gals,

I'm far too excited about Glastonbury already as usual.

Quick question. I've only been introduced to the Friendly Fires recently, but I think they are pretty epic.

Apparently they played last year, but unfortunately I had no idea who they were then so I missed them!

I'm crossing everything that they'll be back this year.

If you did see them, where were they playing and were they good live???

friendly fires (no "the") played JP last year if I remember rightly. i missed them but caught them a year or so ago at a free topshop gig (or something), really good live band. hopefully they'll be back for a JP or other stage slot this year.

I went and saw them last year, I only knew 3 songs that i'd heard on MTV2 but I really liked the sound of them so went and checked them out on a sunny Sunday afternoon in the JP - they were excellent, not a very big crowd but they finished the set with an extra crazy long version of ''Jump In The Pool'', great stuff. Would defo imagine they will be playing this year, they are everywhere!

I saw them last weekend with White Lies and they were clearly more talented at working the crowd. I've fallen in love with them...SO much energy, it was a great show. I haven't danced that much in a really long time. Though I think I came home with more of the lead singer's bodily fluids on my self than I would have liked (let me clarify...he shook off his hair in my face, so sweat...he blew a whistle at me, so spit...and he blew his nose all over the front row...so snot. Nothing else, promise). Regardless of that, they were really, really, really good, and I would definitely check them out if they ended up playing Glasto.
