johntrfc
i wish as would not have to take the other half with me and thus have no probs. she wants to stay of camp one night in a hotel or bb so she can recharge her batteries (her words not mine)

TheNewUnion
dunno about the transport situation but we were chatting to a family last year and they stayed off site for the festival the Dad was driving and they said that they were staying about 1 hours drive away as it was all they could get for the Festival weekend. Sam Crawley
As for doing it to recharge your batteries Glastonbury is the most chilled out place on earth! If your other half needs to chillout and "recharge her batteries" then spend a few hours in the healing fields doing a bit of yoga, meditation, getting a massage etc. Believe me it works fantastically well and sorts you out so you are ready to party! hellcats
Totally agree.. it will be a lot more stressful trying to get off site and back again than just chilling at your tent for a few hours. Also if you need to recharge batteries, the Orange tent can sort you out
grumpyhack
If your other half is like mine 'recharging batteries' is womanspeak for the chance to have a decent wash and scrub up. You won't get that at Glasto although there are solar powered showers in some areas. If she means chilling then there are areas on site that will beat any hotel. On balance the gains from staying the whole time on site will more than outqweigh popping back out to 'civilisation' for a night.
