russycarps
I think I am gonna buy a couple of strappy floaty dresses this year. I am always dead envious of girls in dresses, I love the feeling of freedom a dress allows, especially around the swingers I figure at glasto noone will bat an eyelid
amfy
I'm afraid that being myself at Glastonbury includes having a bum bag. It's the one thing that allows me the combined joy of not to have to go back to my tent all day to get stuff AND not causing injury to others by accidentally clouting them (with rucksack or satchel type effort) whilst dancing. So laugh at my bumbag if you like but I have got evrything I need with me, and I can dance like no-ones watching! No fairy wings or festival hat though - that would be plain ridiculous! tinpottery
Avoid the t-shirts that say "I Facebooked Your Mum" for some reason they make me want to set who ever is wearing them on fire..
daisylane
why can't everyone wear what they want? who cares if its 'fashionable' or not coz the people who diss people for being fashionable are being fashion concscious themselves in a way. people should just wear what they like... i mean, i wear dresses because theyre comfy, not because i'm flaunting my wardrobe, yet people at other festivals (not glasto) assume that just coz you're in a dress, you're a fashion victim. having said that i dont get it when people wear really incomfortable things... like thongs and heels, stuff like that

stutheblue
Is the festival this year going to be swamped with middle aged men showing their non-conformity, rugged individualism and ability to still stick it to the man by wearing Bruce Springsteen 1985 tour t-shirts? Me, I go with what everyone else says, wear what you want to wear, if other people don't like it, well that makes them the c*** of the piece, not you. suchacharmer
Aren't bumbags (I'm guessing these are what we Yanks call fannie packs, which have been renamed for obvious reasons) considered kitsch now? And therefore all the cool kids have them? I feel like a lot of my hipster friends have them, and I know I saw them in American Apparel a few months ago. Fluoro versions were big at US festivals last year, as were ironic mustaches, and those stupid wolf t-shirts. Sometimes I hate American alternative culture, even if I am stuck in the midst of it. russycarps
Im hoping your of the right sex to be doing this .... your name suggests otherwise. apologies if Im wrong. trust me , I would bat an eyelid at some dude with stubble (or even clean shaven ) in a floaty dress. it troubles me somewhat all this man + dress shenanigans. suchacharmer
bah yes I am male and I never fail to feel envious seeing girls in dresses in the summer. It must be lovely to get a nice breeze between your legs and as a man when the sun is out I could simply take the straps off my shoulders and pull the dress down to my waist in order to get a nice suntan. You girls dont know how lucky you are! Edited April 9, 2009 by suchacharmer

emmmmma
I'm really tempted to buy a bumbag. It might make a nice little rolling table as well as carrying all my things
