russycarps
I know there is already a lips thread so feel free to merge but I wanted to ensure you saw this! Can you let us know the rationale behind putting the lips on the list as a rumour?? 1000 thank yous

Badlands
Seeing them at Glastonbury would be amazing. Hope they play JP though, seen them at Wireless a few years back and it didn't seem to work outside (the huge balloons were blown away in the wind within 30 secs!!). Much better suited to a tent. Wm.!
They just cancelled Werchter. They're supposed to fly out to the US on July 2nd. So I can't see why they couldn't play. Saw them last year at Lowlands and they really know how to make a show. Running over the audience in a bubble and that sort of thing. Would be a great addition. Can you let us know the rationale behind putting the lips on the list as a rumour?? 1000 thank yous there's a rumour that they might be playing - you can read about it on these very forums. So I thought I'd add that rumour to the rumours list. That's all there is to it really - they're in europe, and currently they have two days of Glasto weekend free. It might happen. russycarps
I'd love for them to play, I'll actually be a little bit sick if they don't Buuuuuuuut, when has a band ever cancelled a Festival to go appear at another Festival? And it's not as if Werchter is a small Festival either, one of the bigger one's in Europe, no way they'd just cancel an appearance because Eavis asked them to come play at his bash is there? Not trying to piss on anyone's chips, if they play, It'll make my weekend!
Tugger2k
The worst case scenario would be them doing a london tour that weekend. I'd cry bitter tears
Straight Through
would love this to be true, they were ace in 2003(?) and have been looking forward to seeing them at another festival for awhile now *crosses fingers*

TomfromStroud
I hope so. Their last Glasto appearance and their show at Lovebox last year are two of my favourite gigs in recent years.

shiveringsky
*Crosses fingers* I haven't seen them since Electric Picnic 2006. A performance which was brilliant but unfortunately marred for me, by two twathead girls standing behind me, waiting for Groove Armada who kept trying to burn my hair with a lighter. Apparently I '...deserved it for having hair like that'. I got my revenge though. A little fake blood can cause alot of devestation when applied to white tracksuit pants from behind. I never got to see their reaction, as I did it stealthy like a ninja, but I imagine it would have been mild panic, embarassment and wtf is it?!?! Incidentally, that was a great line-up for a festival... I wish dEUS would do Glastonbury.

sinhala
Hey Shiv - I'm with you EP06 was fantastic. Deus were one of the highlights - saw them at Kopo last year, they would be excellent for Glasto, although they have played before - poss 99. *Crosses fingers* I haven't seen them since Electric Picnic 2006.
