Driving From Cheddar

This will be my first time to Glasto.

I'm driving but live quite close in Cheddar.

So, if anyone drives form that area do you know if it will be better and most importantly quickly to drive through Glastonbury Town itself or drive through Shepton Mallet?

Which much appreciate any suggestions.

Totally off topic but lucky you- I love Cheddar. Beautiful area of the world and when we were there a few years ago (first time since I was about 7 and lived in the area) I was amazed that you can see Glastonbury Tor so clearly from the top of the Gorge. Enjoy your first Glastonbury!

my two friends are coming from Cheddar, not sure what direction they take, but it takes less than an hour door to door by car
