Did I know that already? If not Congrats! if I did, you musy have told me in the Queen of Hearst, in which case.....Congratulations again!! B):)

We're driving down, so we will be leaving on the Monday morning but I would imagine the week before that there will be a few times of watching the glasto movie and last years coverage while sipping on some brothers/burrowhill - just to get the body in training mind!!!! :):D

good luck with all the wedding plans etc darren, hope it goes ok and you have a great day.

Personally, Im going down to avebury the saturday before glasto along with a few others on here, which should be a good laugh, other than that just generally making sure all my camping gear is still in working order.

I have to write 15000 words by May 1, of which I will be starting today. I then have exams. After that in June I am doing a placement in a school for three weeks which should pay for my Glastonbury and short come down break to Malaga straight after.

Ill be doing merchandise for a band for a month before on a UK tour, get back on the friday before, a quick clothes wash and move house, then to Chedzoy for 3 days on sunday, straight in wednesday morning. Good times.

At the minute it seems i have got to the stage where i get a few bottles of cider in and put my tent up in my room, have a few smokes and sleep in there.

Also i have started writing lists of what to take.

I've got nothing special to do. Currently in my training with the Police so I imagine that'll be taking over pretty much everything I do before I go.

Usually I'll pack about 40 times, remember things I've previously forgotten and go to Tesco to get them about an hour before I leave and laugh at all the other people blatently doing the same thing. Then do my pre-festival-drive checks, sod the oil and water, it's more music and haribo checks for me.

This time last year ....dreading Glasto. Hoping we DIDN'T get tickets. Then when we did, hoping they didn;t arrive in time. (I was going as a treat for my daughter - GCSEs out of the way - but never thought we would get tickets). Then we they did arrive I spent the time trawling websites, looking up every tip, every moan, every negative comment...god I must have been awful. Then about 3 weeks before the fest I began to actually look forward to it. Then I got mildy excited.....and then the day we left I was pretty positive...."but we can always come home on Saturday can't we?".

Now this year is a different story. Not only have I been looking foward to this year since they closed the gates last year I am probably more excited than anyone in our party. The tents are out of the loft and will be pitched this weekend, sleeping bags are out and getting some air, lists of items needed (which is far shorter than last year!) has been drawn up, everything is in place. The new Fine Map is printed and is on the wall of my office, various acts (rumoured, confirmed or wished for) are on the iPod...sorry I am going on a bit......

I now remember what the lead up to Christmas felt like as an 8 year old boy!

(btw - the change from miserable old git to born again hippy happened about an hour after parking my car on Wednesday afternoon last year. Why, why, why did I not do this years ago.......)

Roll on June.........
