Is it expensive? I think for 5 days of entertain of many, many varities, it's what you'd expect to pay.

A lot of the people I know who go to festivals are at the bottom end of the money pile. They are still a lot cheaper than general camping sites in the UK or foreign package holidays.

As various people have said you could consider stewarding. I steward at two other festivals in the summer but I must admit wouldn't consider it at Glasto because, relatively speaking, Glasto stewarding demands a large amount of your time.

Also I like to take my 'responsible' head off at Glasto which is something you can't do when you are stewarding, especially if you are a senior steward or team leader.

Stewards owe it to other festival goers to stay relatively clear headed. It's fine when things go well but the whole point of stewarding is to be prepared for the 'worst case' scenario should something go horribly wrong.
