Was thinking it'd be a shit announcement what with emo and pop rock getting a look in but Skindred!!!!

Yet another band that would be in my top 20 of all time!!! thats about 8 now!

i'm glad there's finally been another announcement - feeder will be decent and what i've heard of frank turner appeals to me. not really bothered about the other two, but no problem.

i'm still waiting for something to make me feel better about this festival though. i'm happy with the combination of nin/metallica, and i know linkin park are a stellar live act. alice in chains are also excellent. the rest of the list is a bit hit-and-miss for me though unfortunately. but i'm not complaining, the main reason i'm there is nin and metallica really. obviously it would be nice if something really impressive came our way though.

I like skindred, havent heard FT, the other two I can take or leave. At least I dont hate the announcement, and the most positive thing is - the piece on the site says that the big announcement is still to come.

Next weeks announcement will decide whether I'm doing this or Download tbh... Download is better value, and the NIN appeal has worn off a bit since I'm going to their O2 show. Still I'm not sure if Sonisphere's line up is something I dare miss...

Thats true but it depends on how good the bands are, this announcement is pretty lame, next weeks needs to shit hot with it only being a 2 day festival on basically one stage, otherwise it isn't going to work with average bands like Feeder and poor bands like TBS.

I am seriously considering going now even if its for the Feeder day because they are one of my bands to see before I die and like a tit i thought they would be at Reading so didnt bother going to see them earlier in the year. Will not make the same mistake twice.

Isnt this the festivals first year? Does any one reckon there will be any teething problems?

Yeah, certainly a piss poor announcement considering the wait and so called hype. I know theres a biggy coming but expected these bands to be bigger. I mean, the organisers go on record slating the line ups of other festivals and then announce this!!
