norainplease
Oh yes please, would definately be there if they play - clash dependant!!
staggerlee
God I hope not. Can't start the band, especially the frontman. One of the most annoying voices in music, and he's not even singing good lyrics most of them are appalling I'VE SEEN HER NAKED, TWICE! for example. I'm hoping the big gap in their tour is down to a lack of demand rather than a festival detour. Edited April 15, 2009 by staggerlee
chimpy
I did some photos for Sandman of their gig at USUS Fuzz Club a few weeks ago. have to say it was one of the best gigs I've ever been to, they were very very good! For the encore they played AC/DC for a few minutes was class in a glass! http://www.flickr.com/photos/chimpola/sets...57615593122623/

Originalshez
Was there myself (if you mean Sheffield that is, not sure if any other unions in Yorkshire have a Fuzz). One of the worst gigs I've seen unfortunately.
chimpy
Was there myself, thought they were alright but nothing special. Few catchy tunes though. You guys regulars at Fuzz?
ukdannyb
Seen them a few times and I think they're great. Would be a bonus if they were at Glastonbury.

staggerlee
Eddie Argos is one of the best frontmen in world music. He doesn't have a "singing voice" but it works for what Art Brut do. Seeing them live he has me in stitches. And yes, this is my singing voice It's not irony It's not rock and roll We're just doing it FOR THE KIDS STAY OFF THE CRACK ART BRUT TOP OF THE POPS
robith
I don't mind bad singing voices, I'm a massive Dylan and Clash fan. I just find his lyrics terrible, and the music is too heavy for my taste. Overall I hope he's unemployed very soon.
Filthy
BRING ME TEA! BRING ME COFFEE! They're always great at festivals, really hope they play!
staggerlee
Too heavy?! You either get his lyrics or you don't - it's no biggie, it's just opinion. Wishing unemployment on someone is pretty mean just because you don't like their music. I mean, I'm not a fan of the food from Nandos, so I don't go there. I don't walk past their shop going "God I hope they go out of business" Edited April 15, 2009 by staggerlee

robith
By unemployed I mean loses his record contract and no longer gets gigs. If he gets a job in the services industry after that I wish him all the luck in the world and a long life of working and tax paying. Yeah I find them too heavy. You're right of course I don't get it and it's just a matter of taste.
staggerlee
Well, you're a bit mean then. There are tons of bands I can't stand, so I just don't bother with them. I don't think "Oh I hope they're dreams are crushed". Don't be such a belter
darrenbha
I'm fairly sure they will be there. Reckon jpt would be the likely location

Originalshez
I've done a few fuzz nights for sandman. Skint and Demoralised, 65 days of static (ouch my chest still hurts), Art Brut and also did Dan Le sac vs scroobious pip last year. Am on for Young Knives and Dinosaur pileup in the next couple of months. Fantastic lights down there. Oh yeah did Golden Silvers too, though I left early as I thought they were all about to fall asleep, that was a flat one. chimpy
The lights there are all done by students, of which I'm one so I'll take that as a compliment for us collectively! Sound engineering and stuff is also done by us. I'm pretty excited by Young Knives, even if I have got an exam the next day.
