Ok, so, first time at leeds. What's the best way of getting there from the south (In our case Manchester)

Car, Train, Bus, Coach...We are thinking of getting the train and then the shuttle to the site, leaving our tents there when we leave.

Thoughts please??

Yes. You can come and go as you please. There's a local Tesco down the road. However, we went at about 9/10am a couple of years ago and got caught up in the day ticket traffic and missed the first couple of bands! Just gotta time it right or go during the day.

Anyone Traveling from Warrington??

I am thinking of getting the coach its only £31 return so i though that was pretty good, and then getting the shuttle to the site which is £8.50 for a return:)

Has anyone else gone by coach before, if so any advise?? is it a good way to get travel to leeds??

Im traveling alone so a car is out of the question lol but ye any general advise would be good

Thanks x

The camp is open earlier than 6, I dont know why they advertise as 6. It was supposed to be open at 2 last year, but was delayed by a couple of hours. It will definitely be open before 6 though. I'd suggest to get to the fest about 1/2ish. If its not open people just sit in the car park and drink.

two of us went in the car in 2007 and we were parked farthest point possible from brown camp entrance and camped in yellow so 30 minute trek to the car and 30 min back but we left the tent on site and went at 630am from camp monday after bowt 3 hours kip. no traffic watsoever and was back in bolton for 830 just had a couple of hours kip then was ready for the bank holiday rather than being sat in traffic all day. defo way forward.

To be honest, when I've took my car i've gone home on the Sunday night. I can't be arsed with the hassle of moving my tent when idiots start to set fire to everything. I can't drink cos I know i have to be up early to drive and you get next to no sleep on the Sunday. When I drove a couple of years ago I left halfway through the Chilis as they were awful and was home by about 11. Was the best decision i made!

Hmm i'd say the cheapest and easiest but only if you're not the driver. I wanted to kill everyone in my car last year on the way back...they all fell asleep!! I had to stop off at my parents in Stoke for a kip so i didn't fall asleep at the wheel.

that's my dilema. I could make it easy on myself and go home on the sunday night, or take it easy Sunday and get up early monday. I Know i'm not going to and that i'll stay for shits and giggles, end up wasted and get up late...aaaarrrrhhhhh!
