rks01
Hi just out of curiousity... Anyone not taken off their wristband since 2003? I think I remember something about getting 10% off at virgin megastores with a glasto wristband.. Does anyone know when the wristbands started? kohoutec
I have my '92 one somewhere (first Glasto). But I wouldn't wear it for obvious reasons. Apart from the fact its plastic and bright yellow!

scappaflow
I can get my wristbands on and off. Not got a Glasto one yet (to be added to my collection). But got a couple of T in the Park and a Hydro Connect wristband still intact which I will endeavour to replace prior to Glasto and T this year. Josie's Cat
I can understand people keeping bands in a 'shrine' or keeping one on for a few months (at a push) afterwards. But for years? That's just mankety mank mank. I'm surprised your wrists haven't turned leprous. Also it's a teeny tiny bit sad. Well, a lot sad actually. You went, you enjoyed, you'll probably go next year - lose the wristband already. Edited April 16, 2009 by Josie's Cat

howlin_pete
I have load on from various Glasto's and Reading, find they are a great convosation starter when out and about
Josie's Cat
I guess they do get washed but they still harbour dirt in all the fibres and so on. And don't they get all ratty and drangly? Let the wristbands rot in peace!!

Josie's Cat
Dunno. Ok, chuck away the ones in the box too! A wristband isn't made of precious metal though is it? I just think, take the memories, otherwise you get too attached to 'stuff' and that's not the spirit of the festival is it?

Josie's Cat
PLASTIC wristbands? Even worse, why degrade the environment for a keepsake? Can't they use responsibly sourced hemp or something? Or a stamp?

LRW
I have worn mine for a few weeks after the festival, but thats as far as I could go. I understand that people see them as convesation starters, and if they want to wear them for 60 years, then fair play to them. However, to me it just smacks of "look at me! look at me!!! I went to Glastonbury Festival - Im, like, sooo cool!!" - in a Radio1 sort of way.

krunchy
There's a third reason why people keep them on. See if you can work out why.
