i didnt seem to have a come down, i felt amazing after the fest, and for a good month or 2 after i felt the happiest i can remember in a while, it kicked life back into me, i felt like nothing could touch me, anything could happen and it would be ok :D one of the main reasons i'm going back this year lol

I remember about a week after I got back a couple of years ago, I was walking down the street and this little old lady walking the other way was really smiling at me, and I suddenly realised that it was because I was smiling at her - I was still smiling at everyone!

I have never experienced a comedown, hopefully this year won't be my first!

I guess I just go to gigs and hold random fancy dress parties (my next one is an Ashes to Ashes/Life on Mars theme!) and that keeps me going until the next year!

So my advice to you all is fancy dress! It really does help!

Last year the come-down began before we'd even made it off-site. It was induced by a man in a lorry who hurled some abuse at us out the window for no reason. With a heart-sinking bump we remembered the real world we were about to re-enter. I wanted to find ME and beg him to let us stay forever.

Fleet Services on the M3. The first stop on the bus back to London or the first place to get a tea and a break in the car.

While there's still lots of randoms hanging around there, it's just not the same as being in a field with them. Having always left at dawn's crack on the Monday (to avoid car park exit woes), I might try this year to enjoy some of Monday for a change.

(long time lurker... first time poster!

I read this thread last night and it made me sad! :) I found it again and now it's made me sad again. The Glastonbury come down is AWFUL!!! (Last years was the worst for me after I had quite a heavy night on the Sunday and was struggling with putting one foot in front of the other at 2pm still on the Monday. That was a bad start to the Glastonbury comedown!

There is def a real depression issue after a festival when it's all over.

Back to work etc... just a total p1sser. Have to keep remembering you can't just open your bag and take out a can etc or start talking to randoms in the queue for Greggs.
