camping @ benicassim

Well, guess i need some advice.

I bought a ticket for benicassim over the official website. as it stated that 4D packs include camping I thought I'll be on the safe side - but when I printed out my ticket it suddenly says: NO CAMPING on it

I contacted the organisers about it but still wait for response.

In the meantime I'm really worried a bit, as I'm going alone & don't want to end up with no sleeping place

I did a bit of searching here & came across, that public camping was mentioned a few times here: Is this only possible if it says CAMPING on the ticket?

So, any advices where and how to find a sleeping place now? Everything seems to be fully booked

Yep - unfortunately it clearly states NO CAMPING INCLUDED on it - in english & spanish.

The thing that really annoys me is, that I read the terms & conditions which clearly state:

iv) Four-day ticket: Grants the right to access the concert area on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, as well as the right to access one of the Festival’s camping areas between July 13th and 21st 2009.

and

3. Camping-area access:

3.1. The two-day, three-day and four-day tickets, as well as VIP tickets, grant the right to use the FIB Heineken camping grounds. Two-day tickets grant camping rights for two days, either July 17 and 18 or July 18 and 19. All the others grant camping rights from Monday, July 13, to Tuesday, July 22, (nine days and eight nights), at 12:00 pm. One-day tickets do not grant camping-ground rights.

I did pay 170€ for the ticket - so even the price wasn't an indication for non camping. On the order page, on the right side it also said 4D packs include camping & this is what I ordered.

It just really annoys me, as it wasn't stated anywhere.

I contacted the guys at fib-page - still await a reply.

The cheapest hotel I found by now would be 460€ :D , so I was wondering, if it's possible to upgrade to an VIP ticket - not what I'm looking for, but the cheaper option after all.....and camping somehow belongs to festivaling (@aka-andrew: well, close to turning 30, so it's your decision if i'm an old git or not :P ...at least I'm in the stage of age where I wanna be safe beforehand and not only turning up by luck....at least when I'm in a foreign country I've never been before...)

Hmmm - someone mentioned some of the private campsites have their own pools and other facilities. Any recommendations? I was going to try to get a FIB camping ticket, but would you recommend a different campground? What are the advantages and disadvantages to camping off site?

First-timer coming from NY, looking for any advice! Thanks!
