What's The Traffic Like Early Wednesday Morning?

This year, i'm driving down to Glastonbury myself and am looking to get in early. I'll be in Bristol the night before and am planning my trip out nice and early in early excitement. My question is if anyone has gone down for gate opening before and what the traffic situation is like because I don't want to set off at 5am only to find no traffic and I have to hang around for a couple of hours for the gate to open.

Cheers!

Well we leave at 6am from surrey and get there about 8.30 with usually two stops along the way! so 5am from Bristol may be a tad early! You will find traffic starts to build a bit near the site but really not very bad at all. We have never actually stopped in traffic until the last mile or so.

We got down at about midday on wednesday and it was fine. A bit of a queue to get into the carpark and then one into the site that took about 30 mins to clear. But not that bad at all.

We usually overnight in Glasto town and leave just before 8am. Any earlier and you can't get in, or find anywhere to wait.

Usually in the site about 9.30ish.

Tent pitched then first beer about 10.30 ;)
