i've noticed everyone styating 'Van Halen' may play as 'Soniphere' gave the 'Blue Smarties' hint. Surely Van Halen would only headline and is very unlikely. So surely this is a hint that 'Chickenfoot' will play - the new 'supergroup' which consists of former Van Halen members Michael Anthony and Sammy Hager. theyr playing other Euro Fests and arent at Download or Reading...so they gota be at Sonisphere?

Have the organisers ever hinted at bands they were due to announce through twitter or is it just red herrings. EG They hinted at tool at one point.

Maybe people are reading too much into what is said on the twitter!!

they didnt hint at tool, the twitter guy said he was listening to tool - and they were ace. everyone else decided that was a hint.
