I like to sit on top of the monorail carriage rather than inside it, the breeze is very refreshing.

Until the weekend just gone I'd forgotten that I'd told some friends who haven't been since 2005 about the new monorail. I've been to Worthy Farm and was showing them some photos of the empty site when one of them asked "do you have any of the monorail, I think I might use it if it's there this year"... I nearly choked on my gin!!

I think it's really mean, spreading this misleading idea that the monorail is a hoax or a joke. People are confused enough already, without that kind of talk.

Of course Neil didn't help by putting up the April Fool's story, presumably intending to fool the people who know they rode the monorail in '96, into thinking the whole thing was a product of the bad acid that was going around that year.

But I doubt it would fool the volunteers who wove the wickerwork for the carriages, those who dovetailed the railway sleepers to make the rail, then waxed it to give that famous smooth ride. And of course don't forget that someone has to tend those mules year round. Try telling them there's no monorail.

There's corners of the Green Fields I don't think I'd ever have reached if it weren't for the monorail station.

And let's not forget that the statue of Jean Eavis might never have been completed if it weren't for the monorail transporting in the materials.

Me and my mates thought the monorail was gonna be the end of the glasto vibe, but after the second day we realised it was a great decision by Mr Eavis and has changed the festival for the better .....bring on the mud!

can you buy weekend monorail tickets online?

Plus if Stovold’s 2nd Amendment to the Standard Convention (1972) is implemented, then Stovold’s Defence is still allowable during Forward Triangulation, but Back Doubling may only be attempted after a Northern Approach.

Also, Michael Eavis himself can often be heard whisting One Song to the Tune of Another, though I've never worked out that concept...

Monorail badge (my only one, I have no spares, sorry folks) made it safe back from Oz. It is now looking forward to having little badge siblings this year.

GF? How are the uniform designs coming on? Is it still fluro pink and orange jackets with epaulletes and matching miniskirts? (Boys included?)
