Having seen that a few people are taking cooking machinery i wanted to know if there is anywhere on site you can purchase food for the barby or is it take your own and eat it afore it goe's orff.

On an 'eat it before it goes off' note... I usually take Quorn (or other meat substitute) burgers/sausages and they last a bit longer. I'm veggie anyway, but some of my non veggie friends take them for after the meat has run out/gone off..

The stall up by the Greenpeace field (opposite Manic Organic) sells fruit. And I'm pretty sure the big yellow 'sells everything' stalls have stuff like tins of beans...

I've only seen ready to eat food at glastonbury.

Most important is a decent cup of coffee in the morning and a few biscuits to go with. Also take packet soups for those cold nights and some munchies food.

That also means, as well as a morning cuppa, I have the option of a strip wash with hot water as well (so I pack a wash kit and wash bowl).

Unless your on a very tight budget or have a family to feed, there is so much variety of luverly grub at the festival to enjoy it seems a shame not to indulge in it.

Thanks for the heads up, i will def. try the glasto food but i also liked the idea of chilling at the tent, no Q's, me, the mrs and the kids and a barby...and my brother...and his mrs...and his kids and his barby, burgers all round for one night only.
