Just back from Dublin watching AC/DC, they firstly were fcuking immense, however, for eavis to book a band like this he has mentioned he doesnt want a repeat of the deaths thing.

If AC/DC played i could almost garuntee alot of people would get injured, i made the mistake of being at the front, then it was just bloody crazy with people crushing , im 99% certain that all those at the front were not at the front by the end cos they had enough,

the fans are just a bit too mental for something like glastonbury.....

on a side note, i really think this year is gonna be a beezer, cant wait for the first cider and having a seat watching some band ive never heard of before......

anyway. for all those who thought it would be brilliant to have them, including myself, you are wrong, the stage pyros and all the explosions would take too long to set up anyway....

Not sure why Mr Eavis has such an aversion towards metal bands, I know he is worried about a Roskilde type thing happening, but at the end of the day, Glasto tends to sell out BEFORE any headliners are announced. Your average metalhead would never go to Glasto, favouring Download/Bloodstock/Reading That would leave a generally more calmer and better-behaved Glasto crowd to enjoy some good balls-out metal-riffery without the mosh pits/crowd circle and general mayhem that happens at a metal gig.

Anyway, not sure of the relevance of this string as the headliners have been confirmed unless you're suggesting AC/DC play below one of NY,/Bruce or Blur ROFL :(:( ROFL

Thats exactly what I was thinking, but would like to see them again was 1979 last time ;)

I saw accadacca play a few years ago.... after being to many gigs in all shapes and forms, i have to admit the crowd there was one of the tamest i have ever experienced.... all seemed to be rocking out without the need to crush each other for a good spot.
