I think all the "he's an idiot" "he's a junkie" etc. shit is quite funny. How many of you that are saying that have listened to him play and how many have only read the Sun? His live shows over the last few years definitely have been a bit hit and miss but on his last tour with Coxon and at Glastonbury last year, he was great.

The new album isn't a masterpiece but Palace of Bone, Salome and some of the old ones are really good. I was really happy they didn't spoil "New Love Grows on Trees" a la "Music When the Lights go out" on the Libertines album.

The Libertines, in most respects, would've been great but in some ways I kind of think they're maybe best left to the history books now. A reunion would perhaps spoil what they did in the past. There would also be countless idiots at the shows which, as much as I'd like to ignore, I probably couldn't. Still though, hearing Horrorshow again live would be well worth it.

Anyway, to summarise, I'm happy. Hopefully he'll play with Coxon/Mavers again.

Can't you like both I agree with people saying about Doherty i love his music but i think people try to cling on to the thought that they might hear him play something from up the bracket. Evan the man himself must be sick of nostalgia.

According to Peter's manager, the only slot he's down to be 'officially playing' is on The Park stage on Saturday. No confirmation of time other than 'It doesn't clash with 'The Boss'"

Saw him on the Other Stage in 2005 & he was awful. Heard a bit of him on the Park Stage in 2007 & he sounded good, however i doubt i'll go to see him this year.
