For starters, there are loads of radio 1 shows that still play good dance music. Pete Tong has been a bit hit and miss over last couple of months but he has picked up again recently. He plays more house-style stuff.: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/petetong/

Annie mac's mashup is a pretty good intro to loads of diff dance music although her stuff isnt as underground as it once was, it's quite a good starting point tho!: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/mashup/

Annie Nightingale's show is pretty much the one stop shop for "breakbeat". I always listen again to her show and she is playing the pussy parlour on the thur night but don't tell too many people! http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/annienightingale/

Kissy sell out plays a whole mix of stuff and he's a really good dj and presenter too! Saw him last year, again always listen to his show: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/kissysellout/

Then pick your fave artists from those shows and go listen to their other stuff on hypem, myspace or youtube!

If you want some more specific artists give me a shout!

All good advice, also sometimes good just to turn up and see a few randoms.

Last year I decided to dance my way through the dance village on the Saturday, i.e. dance to 3 tracks at each venue regardless of the genre.

Had a wicked time and discovered a lot of new artists (new to me at least!)

  • 2 weeks later...

Saturday night dance east:

2 Many Djs (any chance they might do a live set too!?!?)

Deadmau5

Pete Tong

Oh dear, that is going to be so so mental!!!

I'm so glad that there is no clash with prodigy. This is going to be amazing!!!!!

No stanton on the lineup as yet tho or any of the hospital/ram lot....

Maybe they will be on the G stage like last year.

London Elektricity self confirmed for the G stage on the sunday too.

I need the G stage & Dance Lounge line-ups! (not that i haven't got enough clashes to be dealing with already).
