impressive sleeping feats at glastonbury

my girlfriend at the time slept in a discarded camping seat all throughout the muse set in 2004. We were pretty near the speakers and some of those songs were f**king LOUD. I had to wake her at the end and carry her to the tent.

I was "tired and emotional" during arctic monkeys in 2007 and slept soundly during it under one of the benches at the top of the slope.

I slept all the way through The Killers in 2007 (I think that was the year). I was sat on a cool box with my head in my hands. Apparently people were asking if I was ok and my friends were telling everyone how I was "just taking it all in".

Years ago I fell asleep in the dance tent on the Sunday afternoon.

It started with - I will just sit down for a minute , then I was totally dreaming of sheep.

A nice female steward woke me up. She said she had been watching me for about 10 mins and

as I had not moved she was really concerned , and was considering sending for the medical

people.

When she was convinced that I was not under the influence and had just woken up so to speak

then she left me alone.

If felt loads better after my power nap , and seemed to remember wandering off to the bar !

Last year watching Neil Diamond there was some guy in pink tights, if I remember right, zonked out on the around fast asleep. By the end of the set he was decorated in cups and other debris.

My mate in 07 got totally wrecked on the Fri. He had wanted to see Bjork for ages but he was that much of a state durin her set he nudged my other mate who was also watchin her & said "this if f**kin brilliant" & my mate pointed out to him he acutally had his back to the stage & he was lookin at the sound tent.

Anyway next day he was wiped out & slept through part of wellers set & all of the kooks in his deckchair with his hood over his head.

After indulging in my then Friday morning Glasto ritual of acquiring one acieeeeeeeeeeeeed tab then getting heavily on the booze back in, I think, 2001, I managed to rush around from Moby to watch the Chems headline the Pryamid.

Unfortunately for me, my chems must have promptly worn off, so all the booze that was left in my system overwhelmed me and I passed out on the floor down the front somewhere with punters falling all over me. Apparently my mate managed to get me standing at the end of the set and I somehow navigated my way back to my tent all the way back behind the Other Stage, mainly with my eyes shut, bumping into people as `I went.

It's not sleeping through a set, but I slept through pretty much the whole of the monsoon style weather that lead to the Great Flood. Kept waking up and thinking 'wow, it's still raining? Huh, guess I'll just sleep a bit longer...' and was rather confused upon eventually leaving the tent

I think that was also the same year that I slept through my ex getting a spider in his ear. He woke me up a couple of times to tell me what he thought had happened, but I was sleepy and thought he was being paranoid, so fast fell back asleep every time. Eventually he practically dragged me out the tent to go see a doctor, who confirmed he had indeed got a little spider scurrying around in there! I tried not to laugh too much

I fell asleep at around 7pmish on the thursday a couple of years ago due to irresponsible drinking. I woke the next day at 9am, that's about 14 hours. Pretty impressive.

then slept for 2 weeks at home

Ha ha! I remember this guy. Decorated him at the pyramid stage. I've got a photo on my Facebook of me next to him. Whas it the Saturday or Sunday? Nothing could wake the poor geezer

I slept through Blondie a few years back. I was in a right state from the night before and thought hair of the dog would be the cure, but it basically knocked me out for a while. Was woken up by one of my 'mates' pouring a pint of water over my head. Actually quite refreshing so I got up & walked straight to the bus to continue where I left off....
