ICE BLOCKS

Back in the 70's when I used to camp all the time on holidays, all the camp sites used to exchange the Thermos ice blocks that you put in cool boxes. When yours has thawed you exchanged it for a frozen one. Do you know if there are any stalls at Glastonbury that do this? I am sure there would be a fee but I didn't see anything like this last year.

...I'm still amazed that this and, more simply, an ice selling stall hasn't caught on at glastonbury yet....at the electric picnic the ice stall is so popular that they usually run out and have to go and get more...they make an absolute killing, and all you need is a freezer truck!

It seems like such a good idea. I wish someone would do it!

Last year I read somewhere that if you get those silver emergency space blankets, they are great for keeping drinks cool. I bought a couple, put one over our crate of beer and it worked well. Obviously not as well as ice or ice blocks but it certainly kept it cooler than nothing!
